The Rule of Thirds
Our task was to go out and take pictures that conform and deliberately break the rule of thirds. The rule of thirds is applied by aligning an image or subject within the intersections of the 9 square imaginary grid. Having the image correctly within the intersections frames the subject completely.
This image breaks the rule of thirds as the boy is not correctly within the intersections of the image, however the image still is successful as it conforms to the subject of portraiture, and includes examples of good composition, framing and shadows.
