We then moved up into the CCTV room where we filmed Shannon walking into the shop again but this time we captured this as a Long shot, in doing this we were able to establish the place in which the action happens and we were also able to see more of the area surrounding the shop and what it looks like. Furthermore we also got a full body shot of Shannon and we were able to see her every move as if someone was spying on her.
After filming Shannon walking into the shop both on CCTV and outside the shop we went back down into the shop to capture Shannon actually walking in the shop and moving around. We decided to use the skill that we learnt from our preliminary task which was match on action. We used this from when Shannon was opening the shop door, this meant that we had to first film her outside pushing the door then move inside the shop and capture her opening the door and walking in. For this we used a close up so that we could see her hands pushing the door handle.
When Shannon was in the shop we used the tracking camera movement so that we were able to follow the action of Shannon moving around in the shop. For this we had to use a tripod to make sure that the camera was steady but that we were also able to move the camera smoothly. This was then followed by a close up of Shannon's hands choosing a drink and then a close up of her face which looks quite shocked as she has seen something.
After filming all of this we had to go back up to the CCTV room to film everything again as we only had one camera with us. We found that this took much more time as Shannon had to remember what she did the first time and try to replicate this so that when it came to editing we could cross cut from the footage we took in the shop to the footage we took from the CCTV. Again for this part of the filming it was a long shot, this again established where the action was happening and allowed the viewer to really see everything that was going on.
The things we found difficult during the filming process were:
-Trying to make sure that no one was going to walk in the shop or past CCTV camera's when we were filming.
-We also filmed on a day where it was heavily raining and very windy which meant we had to rush when filming outside so that we didn't damage the camera.
-Due to only having one camera everything took much longer as we had to film scenes twice both from inside the shop and from the CCTV room, furthermore Shannon also had to remember what she had done the first time and this made things much more difficult.
-The LED lighting was not strong enough when we were filming in the cellar so we had to use torches and phone lights to create light so that the footage could be seen on camera.
